A hope map is a useful way of (1) setting the goal you'd like to achieve, (2) the pathways or various ways you're going to reach that goal, (3) obstacles you're likely to encounter and how they could be circumvented, and (4) the rewards for achieving what you wanted and for keeping you motivated. Kylie Bell tells Eve Ash that the reward need not be something expensive - it can be a small thing where you really savor the joy of achieving something you set out to do.

- Pathways" on the top left
- Obstacles" in the middle
- Steps listed below headings for getting there
- The reward (could be self-acknowledgement) for achievement
