About

Disadvantage or privilege is never the result of one single factor. Intersectionality is the theory that people can experience multiple forms of discrimination at the same time - connected to their race, class, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, or other identity markers. Different identities can interact with negative attitudes (such as racism, homophobia, ableism, ageism) that lead to inequality and marginalization.

In this course psychologist Eve Ash discusses the impact of intersectionality. It is an important concept for ensuring that organizations and workplaces practice true inclusion and value all identities.
