About

This course provides strategies to help you calm yourself and regain control if you are becoming stressed at work. The pressure on us all to achieve results can result in feelings of stress and being overwhelmed. Peter Quarry, psychologist, suggests calming your brain through a simple, effective slow breathing technique; prioritizing with the "now or later approach to feel more in control; and focusing on completing tasks, one at a time, rather than wasting time shifting gears and continuously multi-tasking.

Apply practical techniques to manage stress;
Use a simple breathing technique to calm your brain - close your eyes, breathe in and out to a count of 5 for up to five minutes;
Use the now or later technique to help you prioritize and feel back in control;
Organize your work to focus on completion, one task at a time, instead of multi-tasking;
