Organizations are increasingly aware that being family-friendly means providing facilities for new parents to nurse babies, allowing staff time to care for sick family members, and even putting on celebration days for employees partners and children. Employers of choice recognize all staff are valuable, thereby making provision to enable people with care obligations to keep working, while not inconveniencing other staff.

Employers of choice are family-friendly:

  • They recognize peoples domestic responsibilities.
  • They provide facilities for nursing parents or when peoples child-minding arrangements fall through.
  • They do not demand that people choose between work and family.
