About

Undertaking tasks which use our strengths (eg. talents, proficiencies) is very good for wellbeing. Kylie Bell tells Eve Ash we become more engaged, invigorated, motivated and this in turn contributes to a reduction in stress and depression, and an increase in happiness, satisfaction and better health. Strengths are not necessarily the same as things we are interested in, but when we combine our interests and our strengths, we are using our natural energy resources.

When we're doing tasks involving our strengths:

  • We are more engaged
  • We enjoy what we're doing
  • We're more motivated
  • We are less stressed and depressed
  • Our happiness and satisfaction increase
  • Our health behaviors benefit
