About

In positive psychology, there is much talk about wellbeing. Kylie Bell explains to Eve Ash that greater meaning ("M" in PERMA) can be drawn on when we understand the difference between hedonic wellbeing (things that make us feel good) and eudemonic wellbeing (that which serves the greater good, helps others). We are powered up when we link our organization's purpose to our personal vision.

There are two types of subjective wellbeing:

  • Hedonic wellbeing (doing things that make us feel good)
  • Eudemonic wellbeing (serving the greater good) and cultivating meaning beyond personal gain
  • An organization's purpose is powered up when linked to team members' personal vision
